Compliance
The California Consumer Privacy Act allows any California consumer to demand to see all information a company has saved on them, including a full list of all the third parties that data is shared with. Additionally, the law allows consumers to sue companies if the privacy guidelines are violated, even if there is no breach.
“CCPA, while similar to the EU initiative GDPR, is different in that it adds a challenge for business security to locate and secure private data. Therefore, just as ES Cyber’s Forcepoint DLP rules form an integral part of a client’s GDPR procedures, we leverage PII rules to ensure CCPA compliance.”
